Since the wet season finished in April, Cairns has enjoyed some fantastic weather.

Cool, star filled nights of around 18 degrees have led on to warm, sunny days of around 27 degrees.

Normally we do not expect these idyllic conditions till July or August but we have been treated to this early this year. Maybe it is in compensation for the massive wet season that we have just experienced.

The wet is not all bad as it is the life blood of where we live. The rainforests need the rain to maintain their beauty and they are looking great right now!

So come and enjoy the great weather right now and take advantage of our extended low season rates which are now available through to end of June.!

Cairns has just hosted the National BMX titles and everyone that came here from all over Australia, had a fantastic time. The track was up to world class standards for the event, the weather was great and the atmosphere was buzzing.

The Cairns Taipans basketball team ended their season on a high and have done the city proud. They went all the way to the final of the NBL tournament. In a hard fought battle with the New Zealand team that went to three games, they had to settle for second place but they did very well all the same.

if you are coming to Cairns to visit a friend or relative that is residing at the aged care facilities near by, then check out our special rates for your stay. We are less than 200 meters from the RSL Farnorha; Bethlehem and Coral Sea Gardens complexes.

Best regards from Cairns,
